The Kokono project was created to be shared with local actors working in the field of International Development. We therefore collaborate with many organizations\u2014large and small, Italian and international. Below, we list the main ones with which we have carried out collaborations or campaigns of particular relevance and\/or duration<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (FSMEs) in Uganda has been the first African entity to believe in KOKONO\u2122<\/strong> project. We are happy to count on their experience and knowledge of the local context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The engagement of the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (FSMEs) will ensure the production of KOKONO\u2122<\/strong> in Uganda and the creation of a network of local entrepreneurs supporting KOKONO\u2122, with positive impacts in terms of employment and knowledge sharing on responsible entrepreneurship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amref Health Africa was the first NGO to foresee the importance and the innovativeness of a partnership with a responsible business actor like De-LAB Benefit Corporation. We are happy to enforce an Inclusive Business partnership with them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partnership with Amref Health Africa will help KOKONO\u2122<\/strong> reaching the beneficiaries, namely mums and babies between 0 to 12 months in rural villages or suburbs. Also, it will help monitoring the impacts of KOKONO\u2122 on the medium and long run, while strengthening the promotion of the project and its inclusive business model. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have expanded our structural collaborations by including another outstanding NGO: CUAMM Doctors with Africa<\/strong>. Together, we took part in a call by Fondazione BNL\/BNP-PARIBAS<\/strong> for the distribution of 400 cradles in four health centers in Karamoja and Lango, and we co-created a study on the social impact assessment of Kokono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also started a collaboration with a CUAMM support group called \u201cIn Moto con l\u2019Africa<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cRiding with Africa\u201d): we share with them the desire to innovate how the cradles can reach our common beneficiaries. For this reason, we rely on them so that Ugandan bikers can distribute the cradles (along with other medicines placed inside them) to the most remote villages. One Kokono for each biker and widespread, continuous distribution: that is our dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also collaborated with UNFPA Uganda<\/strong> to deliver our cradles within the UN Agency\u2019s projects supporting vulnerable populations, strengthening mothers and their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have established a partnership with the Australian NGO ADARA<\/strong>, which has been active in Uganda for many years, carrying out projects in support of maternal and child health. Specifically, we chose to donate our cradles to Ciwoko Hospital<\/strong> for training programs aimed at new mothers before hospital discharge, so that once back home, new parents know how to care for their newborns and prevent dangerous cases of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)<\/strong>. In addition, our cradles have been donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Ciwoko Hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
